Vantage Chartered Flights to Carry Face Masks To USA

Covid-19 epidemic keeps spreading fast on the world, especially in the Americas and Europe, the demand for personal protective equipment such as masks, gloves, gowns… increasingly high. This period is considered both a business opportunity and a challenge for Vietnamese businesses.

This opportunity and challenge are not only in manufacturing but also in logistics and transportation, especially in air freight since airlines are cutting down capacity or even halting international flights.

Facing the rushing need of transporting a shipment of 16 million masks which were packed in 6400 cartons to the US, Vantage’s team had come up with several options in-line with customers’ expectations: fast, safe, convenient, reasonable cost and effective; and charter flight solution was selected. A plan to charter the whole flight has been specifically evaluated and implemented urgently. Within 5 days, Vantage had successfully arranged to have 2 chartered flights (B777F and B777-300 Pax) departing from Tan Son Nhat Airport (SGN) on Sunday, June 28 evening, transiting via Taipei (to change flight crew and add fuel), and arriving at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) early Monday morning, June 29 so customers can take cargo out the same day.
